June 23rd: ATI LIVE! Presents: Just a Couple of Fools: A Vaudeville Cabaret!

A Fast, Funny & Ridiculous Laugh Riot Celebrating the History of Comedy with Songs, Jokes & Sketches from the Golden Age of Entertainment.

Murrell & Vessels are joined by pianist Brent Marty for an evening of music and comedy paying tribute to the Vaudeville Stars of the 1920’s. The trio of funnymen, who recently starred in ATI’s hit production of “The Big Bang,” are veterans of musical theater and comedy stages locally, regionally, and nationally. This rapid-fire, nostalgic performance combines slapstick humor, outrageous physical comedy, hilarious novelty songs and old-time favorites. The show features classic comedy routines from Abbott & Costello, Hope & Crosby, Laurel & Hardy and The Marx Brothers as well as over twenty songs including “Ain’t She Sweet,” “Hello My Baby,” “Toot, Toot Tootsie,” and “By the Light of the Silvery Moon.”

July 9th: All the Way – The Frank Sinatra Tribute

Join Don Farrell and the Terry Woods Jazz Quartet for a swinging, seductive, and handsomely produced show as they pay homage to the “Chairman of the Board” with a tasteful celebration of Sinatra’s life and work. What you won’t get is a crass impersonation of Sinatra. Instead, you will be crooned to with song after stylish song like “Summerwind”, “One For My Baby”, In The Wee Small Hours of the Morning”, Fly Me To The Moon, and many others. You’ll be tapping your toes to these full and lush songs with choice arrangements while anecdotes and fun stories of Ol’ Blue Eyes are interspersed throughout. So, come to Feinstein’s and live again the urbanity, grace, and style of the man who dared to do it his way.

The Indianapolis Star’s Nick Crews was quoted saying, “From Farrell, these songs go down like a smooth martini.”  “Bottom Line: Like Frank: Top of the heap.”

 

July 14th: ONE VOICE – The Music of Barry Manilow

BARRY! Are you a “Fanilow”? We certainly are! The soaring choruses. The romantic despair. The key changes! His music touched everyone across the world, so come to Feinstein’s and celebrate the one who wrote the songs with such romantic, lush, and melodic melodies that shaped the songbook of generations of music lovers! Who can deny the impact of songs like “This One’s For You”, “Looks Like We Made It”, “Mandy”, “Weekend in New England”, “Could It Be Magic”, and so, so many others! Don Farrell and the Terry Woods Jazz Quartet will guide you on an evening of Manilow stories and music that will have you up and dancing in the aisles!

July 15th: ATI Live! Presents: UN5GETTABLE!

Their moms call them the “Rat Pack of Comedy,” but you can call them Un5gettable. Join them for an exciting night of original comedic music and toe-tapping favorites.

Un5gettable is a comedy “boy” band made up of 5 longtime friends. The group writes and performs original music and sketch comedy. In 2017, Un5 debuted their first original musical at Indianapolis Fringe Festival to sold out crowds and will debut a new musical at the 2022 Indy Fringe Fest. They’ve released several EPs, performed live on national TV, and continue to perform concerts around the US. Their new album, “I Am Okay,” is available now.

July 21st AND August 31st: Walkin’ After Midnight – The Music of Patsy Cline

The music of one of the most legendary Country singers comes to Feinstein’s as Judy Fitzgerald charms you with her tribute to the great Patsy Cline. A mix of song and stories of Patsy’s life, the evening flows its way to the hearts of those who remember her and new fans alike. I’m Back in Baby’s Arms, San Antonio Rose, Sweet Dreams, She’s Got You, Crazy… and of course, Walkin’ After Midnight, the hits are all here, and then some!

August 18th: ATI LIVE! Presents: The Summer of ’78!

They will take you on a musical parade from Barry Manilow to Kansas to Dolly Parton. The year was 1978, an eclectic year of AM radio classics, disco, movie soundtrack sensations and country crossovers. Real-life couple Tony Humrichouser (RagtimeFun Home) and Stephen Wallem (Nurse JackieMarry Me) bring an evening of retro duets and solos to a nostalgic Indiana summer night.

September 29th: ATI LIVE! Presents…Julie Lyn Barber Presents: DEBBIE REYNOLDS, A Life in Music

Join us for an evening celebrating the life and music of the legendary star of stage and screen, Debbie Reynolds. Including Debbie’s hits “You Made Me Love You,” “I Ain’t Down Yet,” “Singin’ In The Rain,” “Aba Daba Honeymoon,” “Good Mornin’,“ “Belly Up To The Bar Boys,” and “Moonglow,” this elegant and uplifting show is a taste of the very best of Debbie’s nightclub and cabaret acts.

Julie Lyn Barber is a Canadian singer-actor based in the Midwest. Barber’s eclectic vocal experience ranges from opera to musical theatre to jazz. She has performed with numerous theatres across the U.S. and Canada, including Portland Center Stage and Canada’s Theatre Under the Stars. Her skill with early music has led her to being a featured as soloist with Portland Opera, Trinity Consort, and Marion Philharmonic Orchestra, and to singing the role of “Titania” in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen at the Amherst Early Music Festival. Indianapolis audiences may have experienced her powerhouse vocals as “Berenice” in the 10-year run of Cabaret Poe, in stage productions including Madwomen’s Late Nite Cabaret, Menagerie Macabre and Christmas Through the Ages, or as the lead singer of the bands, The Steampunks, and Earl Eye & the Space Pirates.

October 20th: ATI Live! Presents: Billy Stritch

Billy is an award-winning pianist and singer and known to audiences across the country for his many solo concert performances and as accompanist and musical director for Liza Minnelli, Tony Bennett, Marilyn Maye, Linda Lavin and Christine Ebersole to name but a few. During the pandemic, Billy has created his own weekly Facebook livestream music show called “Billy’s Place”. Every week, he spotlights a different composer or performer from the Great American Songbook and his show at ATI LIVE presents at FEINSTEIN’S at HOTEL CARMICHAEL will feature his favorite songs from well over fifty online shows. Expect to hear music by Cy Coleman, Hoagy Carmichael, Barry Manilow, Rodgers and Hart as well as original compositions and selections from the Brazilian bossa nova canon. He’ll also be sharing intimate stories from his varied and wide-ranging career. 

November 17th: ATI LIVE! Presents: ATI CELEBRATES SONDHEIM with Special Guest Pamela Myers

Stephen Sondheim famously began his career as lyricist for West Side Story, in collaboration with Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Robbins. He went on to compose the incomparable music of A Little Night MusicSunday in the Park with GeorgeInto the WoodsFolliesCompany, and Sweeney Todd.  Come celebrate with local musical theatre artists you have come to love on the ATI stage, along with special guest TONY Nominated actress Pamela Myers (COMPANY) as they pay tribute to this prolific man who has been called the father of the modern American musical and helped shape and change the American art form forever.

About Pamela Myers

Pamela Myers is the first graduate of the famed Musical Theatre Department of the University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music. Upon graduation, she was cast in COMPANY for which she was nominated for a TONY AWARD. She came full circle with the composer of COMPANY, Stephen Sondheim, in the revival of INTO THE WOODS in 2002 and in the regional Premiere of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM at Great Lakes Theatre Festival in 2012. In 2014 she helped create and performed in SONDHEIM ORIGINALS at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center. Ms. Myers has also starred in regional theaters around the country in such shows as GYPSY, SWEENEY TODD, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, I DO I DO, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN and STEEL MAGNOLIAS. She had the pleasure of working with Charles Schulz creating the role of Peppermint Patty in SNOOPY. She appeared on IN PERFORMANCE AT THE WHITE HOUSE on PBS and guest starred on numerous TV shows such as HAPPY DAYS, ALICE, MAJOR DAD and SHA NA NA. She has starred with the BOSTON POPS, the CINCINNATI POPS and in the CARNEGIE HALL TRIBUTE TO JUDY GARLAND. The last two holiday seasons she has toured with the National Company of the musical, WHITE CHRISTMAS. She loves teaching Musical Theatre Performance and being a grandmother!

December 15th AND 16th: Celebrate the Holidays with ATI LIVE!
